Obagi Blue Peel
The Obagi Blue Peel, developed by world-renowned Beverly Hills-dermatologist Dr. Zein Obagi, uses trichloracetic acid, or TCA, to diminish the signs of aging. The Blue Peel softens the appearance of lines and wrinkles, improves skin's tone and texture, and fades freckles and discoloration. Your aesthetician mixes your Blue Peel just for you, adjusting the concentration of TCA depending on the condition of your skin and your desired results. Although sedation is not typically needed for the Blue Peel, you may request it to enhance your comfort.
During a Blue Peel, your aesthetician brushes the peel onto your face and neck in layers. During this time, patients say they experience a mild to moderate burning sensation. Your skin may also have a blue tint for the first 12 to 24 hours following your appointment. Most Blue Peel sessions don't exceed 1 hour. Following the peel, many patients report some swelling. After 48 to 72 hours, the skin begins to peel and will continue to do so over the course of several days. The skin is fully healed around day 10.
Although many patients find satisfactory results after 1 treatment, others require multiple treatments to achieve their desired outcome.

The VI Peel is a gentler chemical peel that uses a specially formulated blend of ingredients that include TCA, phenol, salicylic acid, retinol, and vitamin C. Although the VI Peel can be used to combat the signs of aging, it's also effective on acne, acne scarring, and skin discoloration.
The VI Peel typically requires a single treatment for optimal results, although a series of treatments may be recommended depending on your concerns. Its beautiful results and shorter downtime make the VI Peel ideal for busy individuals in search of skin care that matches their lifestyles.
