was with University Surgical Associates in Louisville, Kentucky and served as an Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Louisville from 2001 to 2003. Here, Dr. Tierney was responsible for teaching plastic surgery to fellows, residents, and medical students. Furthermore, he regularly lectured on the newest techniques in the field of plastic surgery. He completed his Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery residency at the University of Louisville in 2000 as well as a General Surgery residency at Akron City Hospital in Akron, Ohio in 1998. Dr. Tierney, a Willoughby, Ohio native, graduated from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine in Rootstown, Ohio in May of 1993.

His current memberships include the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Tennessee Medical Association, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (Candidate Member). He holds current licenses in Tennessee. He also holds attending staff positions in Nashville at St. Thomas Hospital, Baptist Hospital, and Centennial Medical Center.

Dr. Tierney’s surgical interests include face rejuvenation, body contouring, and breast enhancement. Providing reconstruction for cancer and trauma patients is also a rewarding part of Dr. Tierney’s practice.

Dr. Tierney and his wife, Jennifer, are excited to be in Nashville and to serve the community here. They just recently had a baby girl.
